Position overview
TIG seeks an Analyst / Associate to join its Relationship Management & Product Development team in New York City.
The Analyst / Associate will gain exposure to the complete lifecycle of TIG’s investment strategies, from initial development and capital raising through to implementation and ongoing client management. This role will directly support TIG’s climate-positive forest investment programs in the U.S. and Latin America, which seek to deliver on the massive climate mitigation potential of the forest sector.
The Analyst / Associate will report to TIG’s Head of Relationship Management & Product Development, and responsibilities will include:
- Supporting TIG’s capital raising efforts, including coordinating and executing on distribution strategies, developing and maintaining marketing collateral plus completion of due diligence questionnaires
- Managing overall client service process for existing TIG clients, including performance reporting, data analysis projects, coordinating investor meetings
- Participation in TIG business development and innovation activities, including design and implementation of new/existing investment strategies
- Creating and maintaining data and presentations for internal reporting
- Leadership over specific process-improvement and other strategic commercial initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills and an ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including investment committee members, clients, partners, and others
- A creative, entrepreneurial spirit and an ability to thrive in a meritocratic workplace
- Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
- An ability to execute across a wide range of tasks, including long-term strategic initiatives
- Ability to work both independently and within a team, to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and deliver against specific workplans and timelines
- A passion for sustainability, real assets investing and the development of innovative, high-impact natural climate solutions
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Preferred Knowledge and Experience
- 1 to 4 years of relevant experience in financial services, investment management, consulting or related field
- Previous experience in client facing or business development role in the investment management industry, particularly with direct responsibility for capital raising and client relationships
