Work you’ll do/ Responsibilities

Deloitte is looking for looking for a strong grants management practitioner to support the application review process for a large, complex grants program. The Application Review Manager will oversee the design and implementation of the application review process, including staff. Tasks may include drafting grant guidance, assisting in the evaluation of program metrics and evaluation criteria, providing expertise in the areas of subawards and subrecipient monitoring.

Key capabilities include program management (e.g., maintain systems to communicate key pre-award milestones, prioritize tasks, elevate risks, facilitate meetings, facilitate decision-making, proactive cross-program collaboration and communication), grants management, and process improvement.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must have 5+ years of experience in delivering grants management or related services.
  • Bachelors degree.
  • Ability to obtain and main desired clearance levels.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

Preferred:

  • Has 5+ years of experience in delivering grants management or related services
  • Detailed knowledge of applicable regulations and leading industry practices related to grants management, including subawards
  • Communications– written: ability to quickly drive consensus and path forward for multiple stakeholders; oral: able to manage clients, set shared goals and communicate priorities
  • Project and risk management – strong communicator with ability to continuously update and track program and project milestones, identify and address operational and programmatic risks; develop detailed roadmaps and project plans with clear dependencies within program
  • Grants management – knowledge and experience with federal and/or state grants management; ideally has led or supported execution and operations of grant programs, including pre-award processes (i.e, application review and award processing)
  • Reporting and dashboarding – Operational: strong at developing and maintaining internal and communication structures for status on grant, program milestones; partner with technology team to leverage CRM, SharePoint, Excel, PPT, and other custom tools as required ●Strategic: define key success metrics for program, develop solutions to report/display outputs for internal and external audiences
  • Cross-functional integration – continuous integration across programs, and functions (TA, technology, policy, dashboarding, etc.). Ability to manage staff and integrate across shared resources/teams (TA, Tech, etc.)
  • Process design and operations – develop detailed SOPs for critical processes, including grants administration (pre-award), and other key functions (waivers, grants admin) critical to program success
  • Technology planning – coordinate with Deloitte Tech Team to manage product roadmap, manage requirements for application review processes
  • Tools – experience with SharePoint, Salesforce, PowerBI a plus, but not required
  • Experience performing financial analyses and execution of programs and projects, including preparing Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPR), suballocations, and Inter-Agency Agreement (IAA) funding documents.
  • Tracking and managing funding activities of obligations and expenditures.
  • Monitoring program budget execution.
  • Preparing documentation to support the budgetary process.
  • Identifying/tracing financial discrepancies and coordinating corrective action; and providing data updates to financial management tools, as required; maintains cognizance of designated program funds, and provides inputs for recurring monthly budget execution meetings.
