Work You’ll Do

Perform technical services for cyber security incident investigations and assess scope of incident damage. Prepare both internal and external communications. Assist with collection and preservation of incident evidence. Work with internal clients around the world to provide recommendations to resolve incident and/or reduce impact of incidents, to bypass and/or prevent future similar incidents. Provide physical security of collected data and devices. Support teams involved in Cyber Security Incident Response (CSIR) efforts across ITS including determining the criticality of an incident, investigation of incident actions, appropriate containment, and mitigation activities. Follow protocol for executing the CSIR Playbook by the Security Operations Center and others for minor security incidents. Improve Incident Response processes by liaising with other teams in Cyber Security and other areas of Technology. Utilize experience investigating cyber security incident response during normal daily operations against advanced persistence threats; experience interpreting, searching, and manipulating data within enterprise logging solutions; experience working with network, host, and user activity data, and identifying anomalies.

Requirements

Position requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Information Technology, Computer Information Security, Computer Science or related field and one (1) year of experience in Information Security Analyst, Incident Response or related occupation.

Special Requirements: Must have included one (1) year of experience with the following special skills:

  • Experience investigating cyber security incident response during normal daily operations against advanced persistence threats.
  • Experience interpreting, searching, and manipulating data within enterprise logging solutions
  • Experience working with network, host, and user activity data, and identifying anomalies
