Work You’ll Do

Identify and evaluate complex business and technology risks, internal controls that mitigate risks, and related opportunities for internal control improvement. Assist in the selection and tailoring of approaches, methods, and tools to support service offerings or industry projects. Use technology-based tools or methodologies to review, design, and/or implement products and services. Construct and assess high-level and detailed security programs translating business needs and regulatory requirements into cost effective and risk appropriate controls. Identify client engagement opportunities and improve ongoing engagement profitability. Understand clients’ business environment and basic risk management approaches. Develop information security strategies and plans based upon generally accepted security standards. Utilize knowledge of business processes, internal control risk management, IT controls, business and information technology management processes, and market trends on client engagements. Generate innovative ideas and participate in decision making with engagement management. Build and nurture strong client relationships. Perform assessments, remediation, implementation and integration of end-to-end solutions in these areas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Risk Management, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
  • Eighteen months of cyber risk and regulatory compliance experience.
  • Experience must include eighteen months of:
    • Developing, implementing, and architecting information systems, including data protection systems and analyzing clients business regulatory and compliance requirements to build effective cybersecurity controls to address such requirements;
    • Installing, configuring and managing data protection systems, including encryption and DLP systems;
    • Developing system Low Level Design Document containing detailed functional logic of each module, pseudo code, database tables, dependency issues, system requirements and configuration requirements;
    • Utilizing business process and data flow modeling to prepare risk and controls master data and to documents functional view and detailed workflows;
    • Conducting stakeholder working sessions to understand the organization’s current data protection environment and associated challenges, and capturing requirements to implement desired data protection solutions;
    • Conducting reviews of existing client cybersecurity policies and standards, processes and technologies and performing cybersecurity and data protection capability assessments (including ISO, NIST, SANS, and SEC) to identify gaps in the current state and devise the future state roadmap and strategy;
    • Interacting directly with client contacts to gather information, coordinate project activities, and provide status report updates and mentoring and coaching junior team members;
    • Coordinating multiple project timelines and engagement economics to planned metrics with oversight and supporting sales pursuits for additional follow-on opportunities, including writing SOWs, coordinating quality risk management processes, and modeling engagement pricing; and
    • Directing a team of onshore and offshore consultant team members by delegating and reviewing work and reporting progress and roadblocks to leadership.
  • Position requires approximately 50% domestic travel.
