Work you’ll do

  • Support government agencies to develop and implement energy transition strategies to meet their emissions reduction commitments
  • Improve the technical and institutional capacity and performance of domestic and international utilities and power sector entities as they seek to build a more clean and resilient power grid
  • Help clients better accelerate and prepare for transportation electrification in their jurisdictions
  • Support policy and regulatory efforts that will accelerate the above interventions
  • Provide advice and support to clients throughout engagements by leveraging a technical and commercial skillset to analyze, interpret, and communicate actionable outcomes
  • Coordinate with a wide breadth of subject matter experts within Deloitte including consulting, regulatory, and business experts
  • Help drive overall business development activities for the energy sector – focusing on both internal and external marketing, industry eminence, and new service offerings within an everchanging industry
  • Support programs focused on expanding the supply of clean, affordable electricity services at the national and/or regional levels
  • Coach junior practitioners in their growth and make significant contributions to practice and business development initiatives
  • Participate in the development and delivery of training programs

Join our team of engineers, economists, planners, financiers, and data scientists who work to build and improve infrastructure and support economic growth across the United States. We work collaboratively to help agencies plan, finance, develop, build, and deliver the next-generation of infrastructure across the Federal Government, State Governments, and Local Municipalities. The client issues we tackle include transportation, energy/renewables, connectivity, social and health infrastructure, disaster response and recovery monitoring, and smart infrastructure.



  • Bachelor’s degree required in Electrical Engineering, Finance, Business or International Affairs, or other relevant field
  • 7 years of relevant experience in the energy or transportation sector
  • 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: deployment of EV charging infrastructure, regulatory experience developing make-ready or other programs to incentivize EV adoption, and experience planning or implementing fleet electrification pilots or programs for light, medium, or heavy-duty vehicles
  • 3-5+ years of experience providing energy or transportation advisory services, ideally at a professional services firm producing technical analyses for public and private sector clients
  • Familiarity with EV lifecycle costs and the impacts of policy and regulatory incentives on EV adoption
  • Demonstrated experience developing cost and/or economic analyses to support financial investment or decision-making for public and/or private sector clients
  • Demonstrated experience building consensus and achieving collaborative solutions among a diverse set of stakeholders
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Travel up to 50% on average, based on work you do and the clients and the industries/sectors you serve


  • Previous experience leading technical/regulatory consulting work for US government agencies domestically and/or in developing country environments
  • Currently certified as a PE, AIA, PMP, PSP, CCM
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Energy and Environmental Law, Economics, Environmental Engineering or another Business-related field
