Position Summary

The U.S. International Tax Delivery Center (“ITDC”) is a new delivery model informed by the automation and best practices developed by Deloitte utilizing proven, best-practice operating approaches to achieve operational excellence and manage successful delivery of international tax compliance. A critical success factor to the ITDC will be having a team that embraces collaboration, efficiency, learning, and innovation. Our ITDC supports a collaborative team culture where we work with limited travel and flexible work schedules during certain months. What You'll Do

As a Manager in the ITDC, you will lead a regional team to execute international tax compliance projects, including playing a critical role in training, reviewing, and overseeing the work undertaken in the ITDC while acting as liaison between the ITDC and the regions of Deloitte. You will provide tax compliance services to multinational clients on the tax implications of their international operations; and you will identify complex tax issues and provide tax analysis and recommendations for these entities and their affiliates.

The selected candidate will:

  • gain valuable experience and hone their leadership skills as regional leaders for new campus and experienced hires;
  • develop and lead a team on an accelerated basis;
  • shape the way Deloitte provides compliance services within the firm through creative leadership, technology / efficiency implementations, and operational excellence;
  • develop training and dissemination of content on various firm tools and processes; and
  • identify strategies, opportunities, and implement leading practice developments.

**This position is considered remote, therefore does not require relocation. It’s expected that the candidate travels to Gilbert, Arizona, for a single 3-day hybrid week once per month.**

This is a standard 40-45 hours a week leadership position, our delivery center prides itself on work life balance.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Working within a team environment to deliver international tax compliance services in a wide variety of industries, including identification of opportunities, and development of best practices approaches.
  • Supervising assignments of engagement staff, and providing leadership, counseling / development, and dissemination of content to Consultants and Senior Consultants.
  • Teaming with leadership to assign and review work and acting as a resource and leader within the ITDC while creating eminence and building relationships within Deloitte.
  • Managing and overseeing engagements including project tracking, tasks / action items, identifying efficiencies / inefficiencies, and communicating timeline / expectations.
  • Managing and overseeing a team of 10+ to execute regional engagements.
  • Assisting in identification and development of leading practices and drafting document requests, reports, standard processes and templates and other materials.

  • Increasing delivery efficiency and improving margins using automation, flexible delivery models, reusable assets, tools, and approaches

Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience working in international tax with the technical skills and professional qualities necessary to serve the Delivery Center with the quality service they expect
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or other business-related field
  • Prior supervisory experience

Preferred:

  • Previous Big 4 experience or public accounting experience in international tax
  • Highly motivated international tax expert with a deep understanding of international tax compliance, technology and tax software
  • Strong project management skills and verbal communication skills
  • Values work / life balance and a supportive work environment

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $105,770 to $196,430.
