Engagement Manager/IT Product Manager – DAS Project Omnia

Work you’ll do

In the Senior Manager 1, Engagement role, you will plan, coordinate, and lead delivery activities related to the design, development, and implementation of applications supporting the Deloitte Audit & Assurance practice. You will lead multiple development teams and collaborate with partners to map and support their operational needs. You will be an integral member of the ITS Leadership team, and will be developing, distributing, supporting, and integrating standard methodologies and technology standards into enterprise applications to support Deloitte’s Audit & Assurance business.

Responsibilities:v

• Lead IT management, planning, architecture and design, engineering, deployment, operations, and maintenance of enterprise-wide solutions delivery and the product portfolio.
• Have the opportunity to lead and motivate delivery teams to deliver solutions with user-captivating experiences through rich visualization and Agile / SAFe development.
• Plan and lead stages of related projects and how each affects the business, to include approving costs, timelines, and standards to be met, and monitoring these through each project.
• Build ‘trusted advisor’ relationships with senior business leaders, as well as foster collaboration between technology teams.
• Define technical evaluation criteria and participate in product selection for technology architecture domains. Resolve technical approaches at a directional level and ensure all major technical decisions result in a coherent systems design.
• Foster support and product roadmap relationships with application vendors and handle and communicate upgrades and updates.
• Develop annual strategy, budgets, work plans, and project schedules in partnership various collaborative partners. Maintain comprehensive budget and staff management plans, which will include full time US employees, India staff, contractors, and vendors.
• You will prepare financial reports and forecasts and other ad-hoc financial analysis as requested.

Deloitte Application Studios (DAS) is the internal software and applications development team responsible for delivering leading-edge technologies to Deloitte professionals. Their broad portfolio includes web and mobile productivity tools that empower our people to log expenses, enter timesheets, book travel and more, anywhere, anytime. DAS enables our client service professionals through a comprehensive suite of applications across the business lines. In addition to application delivery, DAS offers full-scale design services, a robust mobile portfolio, cutting-edge analytics, and innovative custom development.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent educational or professional experience and/or qualifications. An advanced degree is also preferred.
• 10+ years of in-depth experience in SDLC, solutions design, and delivery of enterprise level solutions.
• Experience in managing delivery of SAFe or Agile/Scrum projects a must.
• Experience in delivering Globalization & Localization products
• Experience working with business application owners and development teams to document and clarify business and user requirements and manage scope of defined features and functions during project lifecycle.
• Proven expertise in managing the delivery of mid-to-large web/enterprise applications needed.
• Azure cloud solutions delivery experience needed
• Required in the Tampa or Hermitage office 2-3 times per week
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
• Ability to travel 10-20%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

Preferred

• Technical experience in Microsoft .NET or Cloud application development is a plus.
• Ability to understand and relate to the business objectives and provide a high-quality automated solution.
• Ability to adjust communications to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Must have strong analytical abilities, negotiation/presentation skills, and organizational/planning abilities.
• Ability to drive teams to meet consensus and have vivid passion for applications delivery.
• Strong project management and team management skills.
• Experience in implementing quality guidelines, standards and procedures.
• Creative - able to think outside the box; uses knowledge gained through prior experience, education, and training to resolve issues and remove project barriers.
