Description

As the Site Reliability Engineer at IOG, you will be working with a group of technical engineers to support and maintain the IOG Blockchain pre-production and production environments on the blockchain. You will work with the tribes to understand their SRE requirements and hire or reorganize the team as you feel necessary. work chiefly with one of our diverse projects to plan, teach and implement fully reproducible GitOps-based operations across various pre-production and production environments on the blockchain.

Your mission

  • Responsible for pre-production and production blockchain environments
  • Working on ‘build and deployment cycles’ across all development environments
  • Work with the team define and maintain documented standards for the managing the environments
  • Participating in the building of tools and processes to support the infrastructure
  • Improving and maintaining tooling and scripts for automation purposes
  • Collaborating with agile teams to establish and maintain automated regression suite infrastructure and performance testing infrastructure
  • Building capabilities to allow development teams to be self-sufficient
  • Explore and implement latest best practices ranging from open telemetry to zero trust architectures, from 12-factor design to hybrid remote-local development environments

Requirements

Your expertise

  • Experience administering application servers, containers, and web servers
  • DevOps skill set in communications, relationship building and leadership
  • Proven experience in Build and Release, operational excellence, and automation
  • Scripting and programming skills
  • Experience with continuous integration tools
  • Experience with AWS, Google Compute, or other cloud providers
  • Proficient English language and communication skills
  • Datacenter scheduling experience with schedulers like Kubernetes, Mesos, Nomad
  • Experience of Nix, Open source work and Functional and/or Statically Typed Languages
  • Ability to work well independently and within a team
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with Linux/Unix administration and troubleshooting
  • Experience with at least one programming language such as Python, Go, or Ruby
  • Experience with containerization and container orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Elasticsearch
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git
  • Experience with incident management and incident response processes
  • Experience with agile software development methodologies
  • Experience with networking and network troubleshooting
  • Experience with security best practices and security tooling
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues
