About The Role

As a Compliance & Ethics Assistant, you will be responsible for will providing assistance to attorneys and other staff in the Office of the General Counsel to ensure the efficient functioning of the firm’s conflicts, new business intake, and compliance operations. Other key responsibilities include:

  • Updating lateral attorney information in the conflicts database
  • Providing support as needed to the New Business Intake team, including updating referral methods for new clients in the intake system
  • Coordinating and tracking attorney external affiliation submissions for review and approval, as well as preparing, delivering, and reviewing a firm-wide survey and maintaining database record of all affiliations, while also coordinating with the Executive Committee designee to provide additional support for this project
  • Supporting the firm's ethics walls program, which includes monitoring the Ethics Wall inbox, responding to inquiries, drafting standard ethics wall memoranda, and creating and updating ethics walls in the firm’s security software
  • Completing and filing the firm's lobbying registrations and reports
About You

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Possess well-developed and professional interpersonal skills; ability to effectively interface with attorneys, management, and support staff
  • Demonstrate the ability to identify and analyze problems as well as the ability to develop strategies to solve them
  • Are comfortable and confident with daily Excel usage to generate reports and maintain records
And have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience
  • A minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience; ideally in a law or professional services firm
Compensation & Benefits

Successful candidates will not only be provided with an outstanding career opportunity and welcoming environment, but will also receive a generous and competitive total compensation package. The salary range for this role is $55,000 - $65,000 and represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and location. Discretionary bonuses may be awarded in recognition of individual and firm performance — and profit-sharing partnership contributions to 401(k) accounts may be given based on firm performance.
