About The Role

As a Business Development Senior Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the market’s growth strategy and commitment to client service. You will be supporting the market’s growth strategy and commitment to client service. Other key responsibilities include:


Practice, Market, and Client Development:

  • Building strong relationships with the partners, counsel, and associates in the office to establish a role as trusted resource and advisor
  • Developing a comprehensive understanding of our practices and clients in Boston in order to drive strategic priorities, including client engagement and relationship building in partnership with our practice and industry initiatives
  • Providing research, analysis, and reporting to support the development of new clients and the enhancement of existing client relationships
Strategic Planning:

  • Supporting the implementation of business development tactics and initiatives in alignment with the strategic objectives of practices, markets, relevant industry sectors, and/or clients as assigned
  • Aiding in the execution of cross-selling strategies, including collaborating with relevant BD teams
  • Coordinating the research of markets, competition, and client targets conflicts for the department and practice groups to drive strategy
Marketing Communications and Client Programs
  • Collaborating with lawyers, BD and Brand & Communications teams on speaking opportunities, seminars and sponsorships, webinars, and other visibility initiatives
  • Developing internal communications to inform relevant practice and industry groups of significant achievements, developments, and market synergies
  • Assisting with the creation and maintenance of written marketing materials and web site content, including practice profiles and relevant experience lists
About You

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Display the ability to execute multiple work streams and manage priorities effectively
  • Possess superior oral/written communication and professional interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate well-developed analytical and research skills
And have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent in a relevant field
  • Previous legal industry experience is preferred but not required, as is familiarity with the healthcare, life sciences, and technology industries
