About The Role
As a Technology Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing support to the office by resolving desktop, notebook, and remote computing issues, as well as the installation and maintenance of Firm desktop and notebook computer hardware and software. Other key responsibilities include:
- Providing support to notebook and desktop systems, peripheral hardware, and customer-related services; also supporting, configuring, and troubleshooting printers, Multi-Functional Devices (MFDs), and mobile devices.
- Assisting end-users with firm-approved applications and services, including: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.), Microsoft Teams, Adobe Acrobat, iManage, ChangePro, Cisco VPN client, and other applications as deemed
- Performing regular maintenance on PC equipment such as desktop and notebook computers, printers, monitors and other peripheral hardware.
- Troubleshooting and resolving problems involving hardware, operating system services, and applications software; troubleshooting a variety of symptoms in order to diagnose and resolve the issue in a timely manner.
- Setting up and configuring desktop and notebook computers and printers, initializing and stabilizing
We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Display knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft operating systems, as well as various remote communication methodologies including Remote Desktop Services and VPN connections
- Demonstrate the analytical skills needed to troubleshoot a variety of symptoms, diagnose problems, test, recommend, and implement solutions to technology problems
- Possess well-developed and professional interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively both verbally and in written form with people at all organizational levels of the Firm
- A High School diploma or equivalent, with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems preferred
- A minimum of two (2) years of technology support experience with PC hardware/software
- Experience working with remote communications hardware including wireless routers and network interface cards; experience with installations and upgrades, training and technical documentation desired
- A minimum of one (1) year of related experience working with notebook computers; experience with Windows OS preferred
