Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence. Please note, the team will be fully remote until the Summer Associate Program ends.

About The Role

As a Litigation Services Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing support across all major functions of the DC Litigation Services Department, with a strong focus on calendaring. Other key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating calendaring and related court rule questions for Litigation Services staff, attorneys, and other users, both in the office and throughout the firm; manifests expert knowledge of the department’s calendaring program (currently CompuLaw) and standards; resolves court rule questions, and ensures that the calendaring system functions properly and accurately
  • Handling the daily maintenance and overall operation of the computerized docketing system
  • Maintaining the accuracy and integrity of all data entry including data entry of new and existing litigation case data
  • Generating and sending attorneys reports reflecting all dates related to a matter. Making corrections or providing clarification as requested by attorney
  • Generating and proofing for quality all routine and special docketing system reports
  • Assisting in troubleshooting and following up on all docket related issues such as calendar synchronization, report requests, date calculation questions
  • Acting as a proof-reader/quality check on entries made in the system
  • Assisting in removing attorneys from case teams and calendars when they depart the firm
About You

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of calendaring systems for active cases and electronic filing processes of all relevant courts
  • Have developed and professional interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively interface with attorneys, management, support staff, and outside contacts
  • Display the advanced organizational skills needed to manage time well, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple deadlines
And have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree; a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree
  • A minimum of one (1) year of relevant law firm or court experience, preferably legal docketing and calendaring experience; a J.D. or other relevant advanced degree may be considered in lieu of one (1) year of relevant experience
