Graphic Designer Manager

About The Role

The Graphic Designer Manager will be a proven strategic thinker, expert designer, and team leader who works closely with the Global Creative Director to define the overall vision for the Creative Services team and the Latham & Watkins brand. A strong visual storyteller and creative leader, this role is central to the overall output of the firm’s global Brand & Communications Department, ensuring every project delivers on the creative vision and aligns with Latham’s brand. Other key responsibilities include:

  • Owning the concepting, development, and production of internal and external-facing campaigns. He/she executes multiple projects concurrently and within designated timelines.
  • Maintaining high standards for innovation, presentation, and attention to detail.
  • Working with the Global Creative Director and the Traffic & Operations team to delegate work.
  • Brainstorming innovative ideas, evolving the brand, and introducing process efficiencies.
  • Leading creative discussions with colleagues in the PR, Digital Media, Video, Internal Communications, and Editorial Services teams as well as colleagues in Business Development, Recruiting, Attorney Development, among other areas.
About You

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Outstanding managerial/leadership skills.
  • “Digital-first” mindset and demonstrated capabilities.
  • Expert typography, hierarchy, color application, grids, layout, and accessibility skills.
  • Excellent eye for photography.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Invision, Sketch, PowerPoint, Canva, and email marketing software.
And have:

  • 8+ years of experience as Art Director or Senior Art Director in a professional services professional services organization or agency
  • Experience with Content Management and Digital Asset Management systems, digital and social marketing, web design
Compensation & Benefits

Successful candidates will not only be provided with an outstanding career opportunity and welcoming environment, but will also receive a generous and competitive total compensation package. The salary range for this role is $140k - $175k and represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and location. Discretionary bonuses may be awarded in recognition of individual and firm performance — and profit-sharing partnership contributions to 401(k) accounts may be given based on firm performance.
