About The Role

The Global Benefits Financial Analyst I is an integral part of Latham’s Well-Being & Benefits team. This role will be responsible for collecting and preparing reporting data related to ongoing Global Benefits projects, programs, and plans, and will maintain and build relationships with brokers, third party administrators, and insurance carriers for the firm, while collecting and preparing utilization and financial data both regularly and on an ad hoc basis from various sources and software for use in various department reports, ensuring reports are relevant and timely. This role will be located in either our New York or Boston office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing regulatory filings; ensuring accurate and timely filing and reporting
  • Reconciling and processing benefit program payments
  • Analyzing and reconciling various benefit accounts and processes by researching and identifying errors in account postings and/or invoices
  • Assisting with special projects as needed, including the preparation and presentation of information in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Assisting the Global Benefits Finance Manager with research on various areas of the firm’s benefit program including reviewing premium payments, tracking benefits costs, and analyzing claim trends


We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of accounting principles, general ledger, budgeting, and budget variance analysis
  • Possess knowledge of benefits practices and administration
  • Display well-developed and professional interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm
  • Ability to handle confidential and highly sensitive data with the appropriate discretion; will be trained on HIPAA and all things data privacy


And have:

  • A college degree, preferably with a concentration in an analytical area of study (finance, accounting, economics, or mathematics)
  • A minimum of one (1) year of related financial analysis and/or a minimum of two (2) years of employee benefits administration experience

Pay Range

USD $65,000.00 - USD $75,000.00 /Yr.
