About The Role

The Supervisor of Practice Support Services - eDiscovery is an integral part of Latham’s Technology team. This role will be responsible for providing technical and professional leadership to the Practice Support Project Managers (“PM”s) who are part of the Practice Support Services (“PSS”) department, while supervising, coaching, and educating the PM Team and leading them in professional development efforts. This role will be located in either our New York or Washington, DC office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:
  • Leading the team toward accurate and timely completion of assignments and responding to inquiries; ensuring that all tasks and duties are completed within the firm’s set guidelines and policies
  • Promoting a seamless and structured transition of work between the PM team and the Operations team by providing input and feedback to PSS leadership and, when appropriate, acting as a central point of contact between the PM Team, Operations staff, customers, and vendors
  • Working with PSS leadership to understand local office and practice needs and project requirements and tailoring outreach initiatives and/or project design accordingly while maintaining the overall goals of the department
  • Providing direct assistance to clients regarding electronic discovery best practices to support matters including data collection, data processing, and document production; assisting the Manager in planning outreach and training for internal customers
  • Monitoring the attendance and workload of the PM Team and assisting the Manager in planning assignments for coverage due to extended absences or increased demand for services; providing backup as needed for complex projects and in an overflow capacity

We’d love to hear from you if you:
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership skills (e.g. organizing, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making) necessary for effective supervision
  • Display proficiency in spearheading sizable, long-term projects, devising innovative approaches to see them through, and executing solutions
  • Possess the ability to form and maintain effective relationships with PMs members within their region

And have:
  • A Bachelor’s degree; a minimum of twelve (12) years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • A minimum of six (6) years of paralegal or practice support experience
  • A minimum of four (4) years of relevant project management experience
  • A minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience

Pay Range

USD $180,000.00 - USD $200,000.00 /Yr.
