About The Role
The Billing Coordinator is an integral part of Latham’s A cc ounting and Finance team. This role will be responsible for managing the firm’s billing and revenue function, while assisting the firm to achieve its financial targets by providing an efficient and commercially focused service throughout the firm. This role will be located in our Frankfurt office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

About The Role
The Billing Coordinator is an integral part of Latham’s A cc ounting and Finance team. This role will be responsible for managing the firm’s billing and revenue function, while assisting the firm to achieve its financial targets by providing an efficient and commercially focused service throughout the firm. This role will be located in our Frankfurt office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting a regular review of Work In Progress (WIP) and Accounts Receivables (A/R) reports for your group
- Holding meetings with Partners and fee earners to discuss WIP & AR in order to determine most appropriate course of action
- Supporting the billing secretaries on the preparation of our invoices
- Ensuring the timely processing of bills and completion of accounting duties, in line with internal and external policies (e. g. VAT)
- Handling invoice corrections
- Ad hoc analysis of client/matter financial information (e. g fee updates, analysis with regards to hourly rates, etc.)
- Monitoring financial information of new matters opened
- Responding to internal and external queries in relation to all revenue/billing/credit control matters
- Acts as a liaison with the eBilling team to ensure accurate submissions
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of bookkeeping procedures such as posting, balancing, debits and credit
- Strong numerical skills and keen eye for detail
- Proven ability to manage own workload and prioritise in order to meet deadlines
- Ability to work under pressure
- Self-motivated with good organizational skills
- Possess the ability to communicate confidently and effectively at all levels within an organization
- Display good written and spoken English language skills
- Enthusiastic and keen to learn new skills
- Completed apprenticeship in Finance & Accounting or a bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Two (2) years experience in general accounting
- Two (2) years experience in billing is preferred but not compulsory
- Intermediate IT skills including knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experience in using of Elite, 3E, CMS or similar legal accounting system is preferred but not compulsory
