About The Role

The Global Master File Maintenance Supervisor is an integral part of Latham’s Billing team. This role will be responsible for supervising the daily operations of the Global Master File Maintenance department and ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures of the firm, while managing and maintaining the timely workflow of master billing files, as well as providing guidance to Master File Maintenance Coordinators and Specialists regarding all master file set-ups, including client matter and timekeeper master set-ups, including billing rates and exception rate hierarchies. This role will be located in our Los Angeles office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Resolving highly complex and sensitive master file issues, and having the authority to process exceptions and transactions that aid in the timely and accurate resolution of complex rate inquiries
  • Resolving service-related activity for the firm with regards to master file management and processing; responding to all forms of inquiries from practice offices and other internal customers spread geographically around the globe
  • Gathering and defining functional requirements for Elite 3E billing enhancement projects
  • Providing functional Elite 3E master file support services for practice offices and other internal customers in the form of issues troubleshooting, escalation, resolution, process and solution design, and month-end closing tasks for the Elite 3E master file modules
  • Delivering UAT and regression testing results for Elite 3E master file enhancements, fixes, and software upgrade projects


We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Possess knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • Display the ability to comprehend and accurately perform mathematical functions
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills needed to correctly comprehend and communicate data


And have:

  • A high school diploma, preferably with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience supervising legal billing or billing audit, preferably at a law firm
  • Preferably, experience with 3E Billing system

Pay Range

USD $120,000.00 - USD $135,000.00 /Yr.
