About The Role
The Sustainable Operations Manager is an integral part of Latham’s Sustainability team. This role will be responsible for being a key contributor to achieving the firm’s internal sustainability goals and emissions reduction targets , while operationalising facility and energy-related aspects of the firm’s sustainability strategy by collaborating closely with, and serving as a subject matter expert to, local and global Workplace Experience teams . This role will be located in our London office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

About The Role
The Sustainable Operations Manager is an integral part of Latham’s Sustainability team. This role will be responsible for being a key contributor to achieving the firm’s internal sustainability goals and emissions reduction targets , while operationalising facility and energy-related aspects of the firm’s sustainability strategy by collaborating closely with, and serving as a subject matter expert to, local and global Workplace Experience teams . Responsibilities & Qualifications
Other key responsibilities include:
- Developing, managing and implementing of a comprehensive operational sustainability strategy that includes energy efficiency, water conservation, renewable resource management, waste diversion and recycling
- Overseeing and managing the firm-wide energy management systems, and utilising working knowledge of greenhouse gas accounting to process energy data into the firm’s emissions management software
- Proactively identifying opportunities for energy/resource savings on a local and firmwide level
- Working closely with Global Real Estate team during the planning and development of capital projects to ensure sustainability objectives are achieved
- Working closely with the firm’s Managed Services team to operationalise firm-wide sustainability initiatives
- Display fluency in Greenhouse Gas Protocol and decarbonization frameworks, including but not limited to technical knowledge of green building frameworks and practices
- Possess the ability to collect, process, and analyse large quantities of data
- Enjoy working in a team with a customer service focus, have well-developed professional interpersonal skills and can interact effectively with a range of seniorities
- A Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or a related field, with a Master’s degree in Sustainability or related field. Certification/coursework in major sustainability standards framework (e.g., CDP, TCFD) would be beneficial
- Relevant experience in built environment or operational sustainability in a large global organisational setting
- An enjoyment for, and a flexibility to, travel to other offices when required
