As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of our tight-knit group of dedicated problem solvers, making an impact on the team and work with the larger Teams engineering organization to deliver an innovative and meaningful experience to hundreds of millions of Microsoft Teams users.

  • Design, implementation, and testing of multiple new messaging features.
  • Build user experiences that work great across multiple devices and browsers.
  • Writing and maintaining unit tests and automated integration or end-to-end tests.
  • Collaborate with partner teams to meet engineering goals.
  • Manage individual projects or feature priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

o OR equivalent experience.

  • 4+ years of experience with unit-test, continuous integration, and test-driven development.
  • 3+ years of experience with React and Typescript
  • 3+ years of experience delivering high-quality, large-scale services in enterprise and/or consumer markets.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with telemetry and data-driven development.
  • Experience with web performance profiling and analysis.

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
