Head of Strategy Development

Responsibilities:
- Working closely with the executive team, lead the development of Nasdaq’s strategy and long-term strategic priorities including new growth vectors that will maximize shareholder value.
- Take ownership of strategic & financial modeling and data analysis in support of strategic objectives.
- Develop documents to facilitate cross-divisional and cross-functional team discussions as well as communicate with senior management.
- Support research engagements to develop Nasdaq’s position on long-term strategic issues.
- Gather intel on competition, regulation, and market trends in support of our strategic choices.
- Leverage vast knowledge base to develop strong strategic insights about customer value proposition and how we can best serve our clients.
- Support the heads of corporate strategy and corporate development in strategic modeling for M&A.
- Partner with division and business unit leaders to drive unified voices on strategy topics.
- Lead various other strategic analyses supporting the business, as necessary.
Qualifications:
- 10-15 years of strategy consulting, investment banking, and/or corporate strategy experience.
- A strong understanding of capital markets, financial services, and fintech is preferred and will go a long way in the success of this role.
- History of driving innovation and competitive advantage by thinking big and pushing the thinking of senior leaders at Nasdaq.
- Experience leading and managing a high-performing team of strategists.
- Strategic & analytical thinker with the ability to put complex ideas into clear frameworks; demonstrate expertise in structured problem solving and strategic modeling skills.
- Talent for synthesizing highly complicated/nuanced ideas and communicating them in ways others can easily understand (both oral and written).
- Well-honed advisory skills in working with others to elicit information, to think objectively and analytically, and to influence outcomes positively.
- Ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects and meet tight deadlines; have an ability to remain calm under pressure and in the face of uncertainty.
- Must be proactive, resourceful, and demonstrate intellectual curiosity.
- Exhibit the highest standards of integrity and be pleasant & fun to work with.
Education:
- MBA, Master’s degree, or equivalent work experience preferred.

The base pay range for this role is $149,200 - $248,600. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth.
