Managing Director, New Listings & Capital Markets - South Central US

Nasdaq is seeking an energetic sales professional for a field-based Managing Director, New Listings & Capital Markets position. This position is responsible for the execution of the sales strategy for IPOs & SPAC Combinations throughout South Central US. This is accomplished by using a relationship-based, consultative selling approach designed to help issuers execute successful listings on Nasdaq.
Job Description:
The Managing Director, New Listings & Capital Markets will be responsible for the development of each territory’s strategic plan, building relationships with private companies across sectors with a heavy focus on the Energy sector, developing effective proposals and supporting companies through their initial public offering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the strategic direction of Nasdaq’s New Listings efforts in territory
- Develop strong relationships with the senior executives and board members of prospective, private companies to influence the companies to list on Nasdaq
- Establish strong partnerships with legal, banking and other capital markets professionals as well as investors, who will influence the listing decisions
- Lead or support management with the coordination and planning of seminars, conferences, and other origination activity in the territory
- Understand prospective issuers’ initiatives and needs in order to properly articulate the Nasdaq value proposition
- Produce and maintain required pipeline, status reports and prospect company information
- Collaborate with internal resources in a unified team approach to supporting and winning new business
- Capacity and willingness to travel up domestically as required by the role
Knowledge and Experience
- 10+ years of sales experience with a demonstrated track record of over-achievement
- Understanding of capital markets, investor relations and the IPO process
- Knowledge and relevant connections within the territory
- Effective networking, communication, and presentation skills
- Experience selling to and building relationships with the C-Suite
- Strong planning and research skills with great attention to detail
- Ability and drive to operate both independently and as part of the broader team
- Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or marketing/sales
