Job Description Summary:Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO)/Principal Officer (PO) and backup Head of Compliance India. What you need to know about this role This role requires deep subject matter expertise in AML/CTF regulations, investigative practices, and proven ability to navigate a continuously evolving and complex regulatory landscape. Meet our Team. The successful candidate will have to work with Head of Compliance - India also to coordinate across multiple cross-functional teams, including local and global policy functions as well as investigative personnel executing on both global, regional, and local AML/CTF programs requirements. Sound knowledge of risk and compliance practices/framework & regulatory obligations of AML/CTF, consumer protection, privacy and data protection, and payments legislative requirements. Work with Global Compliance colleagues to implement annual Compliance goals across APAC region. Develop & Maintain India Market specific compliance policies and procedures and ensure that they remain up to date to minimize compliance or regulatory risk.

Your way to Impact.Collaborate with Operations, India BU, AML, Fraud/Risk as required to assist in resolution of alerts generated through TM.Communicate or disseminate essential policies or regulatory changes in India market to senior management and the relevant business units and provide guidance on how the requirements can be satisfied.Assist / Perform periodic review of approval of clients.Lead in compliance Review and, where appropriate, also investigate unusual activity:Review proposals for new products or structural changes to identify compliance issues, if any, and manage resolution to ensure compliance risk is appropriately managed.
Your Day to DayManage routine regulatory reporting/inquiries vis-à-vis appropriate regulators, also manage suitable regulatory response to incidents and breaches.Assessment & management of relevant AML regulatory changes to assist in shaping the evolution of PayPal’s overall AML/CTF program, such as but not limited to KYC, Due Diligence, external/internal reporting and enhanced due diligence requirements for high-risk customers.Take decision on filing STRs and CBWTRs and to file it to regulators.Assist in execution of risk assessments and provide effective challenge to the first line of defense.Review AML/CTF-related documentation, including audit and exam responses, presentations, and policy documentation.
What Do You Need To Bring InMust have STRs and CBWTRs filling experience to local reporting authorities in India.Broad understanding of payments, credit, banking and / or technology experience.Must possess exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to partner effectively at multiple levels and across disciplines.Team oriented and collaborative, with exceptional consensus building and relationship management skills.
