Job Description Summary:
Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer, the VP of Enterprise Cyber Security will be a member of PayPal's Cybersecurity leadership team and will lead PayPal's global security engineering, services, and product development teams which are directly responsible for maintaining, developing, and growing all security products and services, across PayPal, in a rapidly evolving threat landscape and technology stack. Job Description:
  • Provide strategic leadership to an organization of 200+ team members in specialized domains such as:
    • Crypto
    • Access
    • Product Security
    • Threat Management
    • Cloud Security

  • Coach and develop executive leaders as they deliver their outcomes.
  • Drive strategic security outcomes across multiple brands and operating environments for PayPal and its customers.
  • Deliver security products and services in a complex and heterogeneous infrastructure.
  • Manage the ongoing development of new and existing security platforms and products.
  • Partner with multiple stakeholders in Product Development teams, Infrastructure teams, and the PayPal Business Units to deliver the next generation of PayPal’s Cyber Security to ensure that PayPal protects the brand.
  • Collaborate with Security leadership to establish goals and intended outcomes relating to product security, platform, infrastructure security, security tools strategy, and architectural direction, contributing to a security strategy shaped by the PayPal business strategy, fast-changing, evolving global marketplace.
  • Communicate and represent Security internally and externally.

Qualifications
  • Ability to lead the rationalization and expansion of large-scale security platforms to continue evolving PayPal's security products portfolio.
  • Experience driving teams to a consensus on designs, patterns, best practices, and implementation methods that are enterprise-adopted and business applicable.
  • Experience in identifying and defining security product roadmaps.
  • Ability to provide expertise and security requirements to colleagues across the building platform, infrastructure, and database applications and frameworks.
  • Respected senior information security leader at a large, global company in dynamic and fast-changing markets.
  • Experience designing and delivering internet-scale, enterprise-wide information security technology architectures, products, capabilities, and processes focusing on scalability, durability, and performance.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, translation into operating plans and budgets, making buy/build decisions based on requirements, importance to the business, risk, and cost.
  • Experience in financial services and security technology industries.
  • Outstanding thought leadership, architectural, and implementation skills – a thinker and a doer – can look at information security comprehensively and strategically and is ready to translate business strategy into technical vision and strategy.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead with innovative ideas rather than follow the competition and traditional approaches; an "out-of-the-box" thinker will determine what PayPal needs to build today to get ahead of future threats.
  • A self-motivated and self-directed people leader with demonstrated ability to attract, develop, retain, and motivate top-tier talent and build an organization primed to get ahead of threats by using intelligence-based security to understand where the threats are going in real-time.
