The Help, Learning and Localization (HELLO) Team at Slack strives to deliver a consistent experience to global customers, to make their working lives simpler, more cheerful and more productive. Our team members support content production and localization across multiple departments at Salesforce, using domain expertise to make or advocate for the best decisions for our users worldwide.

As a Senior Localization Project Manager for HELLO, you will focus on the tools and processes we need to optimally complete critical initiatives with global impact. Your role includes building positive relationships with internal and external people. You will demonstrate critical thinking skills to support our day-to-day operations, scale processes, and plan and prioritize work. You will define innovative, sustainable methods that will help us scale, drive efficiency, and lead to a more enjoyable work experience for you and your colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of our localization process from start to finish, engaging in feedback to improve the process and deliver a phenomenal customer experience.

  • Collaborate with lead team members, partners and vendors to prioritize, plan, and complete impactful efforts that deliver on company priorities and the team's vision.

  • Partner closely with other members of the Localization team to share mutual support and expertise as needed, as well as find opportunities for collaboration, growth and process improvement.

  • Leverage a curious mentality to engage internal and external partners in retro and feedback cycles where the ultimate goal is finding innovative ways to tackle challenges through experimentation, data gathering, and automation.

  • Partner with senior team members to plan for future localization program scaling needs including operations, staffing, and budgeting.

Required qualifications

  • At least 4-6 years of experience planning, driving, and delivering localization projects and programs with cross-functional teams

  • Strong communication skills, including relationship building and collaboration with lead team members, contractors, vendors and diverse cross-functional teams

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle contending priorities independently

  • Ability to use data and experimentation to improve operations

  • Exceedingly strong communication skills (both written and verbal), with a passion for distilling sophisticated ideas in easy to understand ways

  • BS/BA in a related field required, or equivalent experience

  • Prior experience with project and translation management methodologies and tools (e.g. JIRA, Asana, Lokalise, etc.)

Preferred qualifications

  • Prior experience using Slack as a productivity tool at work

  • Leadership skills, with an eye towards creating an environment that keeps the team engaged and thriving

  • Passionate about language quality and advocating for a global approach within an organization

  • Fluency in a non-English language is a bonus
