Leading with our core values, we help companies across every industry blaze new trails and connect with customers in a whole new way. And, we empower you to be a Trailblazer, too — driving your performance and career growth, charting new paths, and improving the state of the world. If you believe in business as the greatest platform for change and in companies doing well and doing good – you’ve come to the right place.

We are looking for a VP of Global Field Marketing to lead our Tableau business across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC. This strategic leadership role will be critical in driving demand, fostering customer advocacy, and supporting the growth objectives of our field team.

This VP will lead a passionate team of marketing professionals and closely collaborate with stakeholders to drive high-impact go-to-market plans, demand-generation strategies, and customer-centric campaigns. This leader will have an entrepreneurial spirit, creative mindset, and deep multi-disciplinary marketing expertise that will be instrumental in building on our strong market position and achieving measurable results. The VP will champion a data culture and ensure the successful execution of marketing initiatives to improve customer satisfaction, retention, and brand momentum.

Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Foster a healthy marketing team culture, develop marketing leaders and their teams through effective career and performance management, and attract top talent to create a high-performing marketing organization.

  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Collaborate with corporate marketing and sales leadership to develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market marketing plans, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and achievement of business targets.

  • Customer-Driven Campaigns: Design and implement prioritized campaigns that enhance customer demand, positively impact brand awareness and drive sales across different customer segments and personas.

  • Data-Driven Innovation: Analyze the sales cycle, customer segmentation, and channel mix to optimize the selling process, utilizing data to craft impactful marketing messaging, campaigns, and events.

  • Stakeholder Alignment: Effectively communicated with key stakeholders, particularly the CEO of Tableau and the sales leaders reporting to him. You will play a key role in bridging communication gaps, ensuring the organization's decisions and actions are well understood and supported, and aligning the priorities across both sales and marketing to achieve results.

  • Events Strategy: Innovate and deliver a portfolio of physical and virtual events that maximize impact and engagement within the region.

  • Quarterly Goal Setting: Translate the annual marketing plan and goals into actionable quarterly targets, initiatives, and metrics, ensuring measurable and accountable results.

Requirements:

  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary marketing teams for global software companies.

  • Exceptional leadership skills with a proven ability to attract, develop, and mentor high-performing talent.

  • Have a flexible mindset and the ability to pivot quickly, driving process changes and embracing new skills.

  • Understanding of how Core Salesforce works, while being able to build plans and strategies specific to the unique needs of Tableau.

  • Strong strategic vision and the ability to execute marketing plans effectively.

  • A balanced approach to creativity and data-driven decision-making, crafting accessible and innovative marketing messaging and campaigns.

  • Demonstrated success in driving revenue through highly effective marketing strategies.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build strong relationships across departments.

  • Collaborative mindset, embracing teamwork and cross-functional partnerships.

  • Outstanding work ethic, humility, and confidence to drive positive change.
