Our international Infrastructure Execution & Consulting team is looking for you, a customer- and service-oriented System Engineer with interest in managing processes in the IT infrastructure delivery chain.
Who we are?
The SIX IT Infrastructure Execution & Consulting team is the first point of contact for our internal customers who are the application teams in various locations around the world. We help them find the best infrastructure solution for their application, consult them and execute it. Our team is based in Switzerland and Spain and value a trustful and open cooperation in an international environment.
Together with the team, you will work closely with the respective platform teams across the IT infrastructure and have contact with our international internal customers.
What You Will Do
- you work in a service-oriented IT infrastructure and act as first point of contact for the application teams for new orders of IT infrastructure products
- you optimize our internal order-processes for physical servers, OS-Deployments, Server extensions and decommissioning of systems
- you identify the potential for automation in these processes and plan the implementation of it with the platform automation team
- you execute the installation of the OS (Linux & Windows, Databases)
- you work close together with the other Infrastructure Platform Teams (Linux, Windows, Database, Storage & Backup etc.) and act as bridge to the customers
What You Bring
- good knowledge level around Linux & Windows server OS
- basis knowhow in x86 hardware, automation tools like Ansible and/or PowerShell is a plus
- you have very good organization and conceptual skills (and you like to use it)
- you like to take over responsibility, working carefully and you can manage processes and adapt it when needed
- very good English skills (verbal and writing), German and/or Spanish is a plus
