Intern Software Engineering - Data Hub (80-100%)

We are looking for a bright, dedicated team player to join SIX for a six- or twelve-month internship. The role will be based at our Warsaw office. Our Data Hub team is planning to systematize and harmonize business logging entries within a financial data intake system. Your role will be to create similarly structured business logs for all types of incoming data, enabling business users to recognize and resolve configuration issues. Once the migration of business logs is complete, you will create reports, dashboards, and alerts for internal usage. You will also be working closely with our internal and external partners.
What You Will Do
- cooperate with developers to understand how the system is built, which information can be provided by which component and how goals can be achieved
- work with business analysts to understand how data is being processed and what information must be logged in which scenario
- interact with business users to understand their needs in monitoring the feeds
What You Bring
- knowledge of Java and OOP, solid understanding of error handling
- basic understanding of RESTful Web Services
- basic experience with Spring framework (Core, WEB, MVC modules) /Java EE, and with Maven
- experience with any version control system (Git preferable), familiarity with logging frameworks (SLF4J, log4j, logback)
- fluent knowledge of English
