Steptoe & Johnson, LLP, seeks an associate to join our growing International Arbitration practice group in either our Washington, DC or New York office. Candidates should have 3 to 5 years of experience in a strong international dispute resolution practice, with a significant component of that practice devoted to international commercial arbitration and investor state arbitration. Procedural experience with the major arbitral rules is a must, in particular UNCITRAL, ICSID, ICC, LCIA, SCC, and SIAC Rules. The group is expanding its Latin American arbitration work, and fluency in Spanish as well as cultural knowledge of the region is required.Candidates must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, a track record of insightful research and analysis, and persuasive writing abilities. We are looking for candidates who can and want to assume immediate responsibility and who are willing to work as an integral part of a high performing and collaborative team.
