Steptoe & Johnson, LLP, seeks an associate with 1 to 6 years of experience to join the Firm’s Intellectual Property (“IP”) practice group in either our Chicago or Washington, DC office. Ideal candidates will have litigation experience and a bachelor's degree and/or an advanced degree in electrical engineering or computer science.Candidates must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, a track record of insightful research and analysis, and persuasive writing abilities. We are looking for candidates who can and want to assume immediate responsibility and who are willing to work as an integral part of a high performing and collaborative team. The expected salary for this role is $215,000 - $295,000.A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school is required. Membership in the Illinois or District of Columbia Bar, active and in good standing, is also required.
