Steptoe & Johnson, LLP, seeks a senior Associate or Of Counsel to join the Corporate and Property practice group. Qualified candidates will have 7 – 8+ years of real estate and/or financing experience. Candidates with broad experience in buying, selling, leasing, financing and restructuring commercial real estate interests preferred. A good knowledge of the UCC and secured transactions helpful. Steptoe’s corporate and real estate attorneys represent foreign and domestic companies, nonprofit organizations, family offices and individuals in a variety of real estate, fund, securities, finance, and other transactions. We work with clients at every stage of the business cycle, from entity formation and early stage financing, to day to day advice on business and legal issues, to negotiating mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, restructuring and dispositions. The firm’s real estate and corporate practice includes work for clients in the blockchain industry and other emerging technologies, cross-border transactions, and domestic transactions.Steptoe’s real estate and corporate attorneys receive meaningful, hands-on legal work at every stage of their careers. The expected salary for this position is $400,000 - $415,000, depending on experience.A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school is required.
