About this role:

Wells Fargo is looking to hire an experienced Android Engineer to join the Fraud Technology organization and help us build the next generation of Fraud products that will help deliver a reliable and secure banking experience for Wells Fargo's customers. Your work will have a direct impact on millions of people and helping unlock an innovative banking experience for them.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and deliver code across the mobile stack, driving software engineering excellence by adhering to best practices in engineering, documentation, testing, and observability

  • Participate in the design, implementation, testing, and deployment of mobile applications

  • Partner with digital product, Fraud & Claims business team, and other stakeholders to uncover requirements, to innovate, and to solve complex problems

  • Focus on building an amazing consumer experience

  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals

  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Software development experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 2+ years experience with Android native mobile application development, debugging, testing, optimizing, and upgrading Android SDK / application using Java and Kotlin

  • 2+ years experience writing mobile SDKs and libraries and writing clear, performant, and maintainable code

  • 2+ years experience with Android SDK, Android Studio, and other mobile development tools

  • 2+ years experience with interfacing APIs from an Android SDK

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with one of the following mobile frameworks: Flutter or React Native

  • Experience working with Android sensor data (e.g., accelerometer, gyroscope) and native APIs (e.g., activity detection API, Google Fit API)

  • Experience working on CI/CD dockerized environment incl. container orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes

  • Experience with collaboration, integration, and deployment tools like GitHub, Jenkins, and Play Store

  • Experience with both SQL and no-SQL technologies and caching technologies (e.g., Redis)

  • Strong background in multi-threading, concurrency, and parallel processing

Pay Range

$100,800.00 - $179,200.00 Annual
