Operations Associate Manager, Static Data Maintenance

About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking an Operations Associate Manager. The primary purpose of this role is to oversee the team members, to ensure that the workload is being complete to agreed times and standards, to participate in recruitment efforts, to train new team members.
In this role, you will:
- Supervise a team of Operation Specialists responsible for moderately complex transactional and operational tasks such as processing servicing related tasks, identifying problems, improving service levels and develop metric to measure growth and performance
- Ensure timely completion, quality and compliance within the operation area
- Work independently on moderately complex issues and projects
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and risk control development and escalates issues to senior management
- Provide training, performance, evaluation and coaching of less experienced team
- Make daily supervisory decisions and resolve moderately complex business issues related to team supervision, work allocation and daily operational tasks under direction of Operations management
- Leverage interpretation of policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including senior managers
- Lead team to achieve objectives
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Operations
- Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent
Required Qualifications:
- Two (2) years experience in Operations, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- One (1) year Leadership experience
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferably business course and equivalent
- Experience of more than five (5) years in Banking / Financial Services of which at least two (2) years as people manager
- Good knowledge of Static Data function (Account Opening, Maintenance, Account Closing) & experience of working with international Line of Businesses
- Ability to lead a team, that requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to train and coach team members
- Ability to create a team and to perform the full suite of “HR” tasks from hiring to implementing performance improvement plans.
- Strict attention to detail is required with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills with a strong acumen in verbal and written communication.
- Ability to work calm & independently under pressure, multi-task in a fast paced environment and be adaptable to change.
- Possess excellent troubleshooting and resolution skills.
- Ability to comprehend complex products and requirements, and be able to articulate concepts in an easy-to-understand way.
- Ability to partner and coordinate with internal customers on projects and day to day tasks.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and familiarity with regulatory sanctions required
Job Expectations:
- Amenable to work during night shift, Monday - Friday only.
- Amenable to work full-time onsite.
- Ensure that the following tasks are being completed in accordance with agreed Service Level Agreements & KPIs
- Manage the day to day static operations for Canada and US Multicurrency Branches – Flexcube System.
- Overseeing the SLA performance management process
- Managing various Audit Team requests ,ensuring requested data is provided in a timely fashion
- Ensure all required reporting tasks are completed accurately & on time
- Ensure Operational risk is considered in regard to all tasks completed by your team, any incidents are reported & addressed as required.
- Liaising with team SMEs to ensure requirements are met & adequate testing is completed prior to implementation.
