Corporate Risk helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. The team focuses on several key risk types, including conduct, credit, financial crimes, information security, interest rate, liquidity, market, model, operational, regulatory compliance, reputation, strategic, and technology risk.

The group provides leadership, enhances communications, assists with problem identification and solutions, and shares best practices. In addition, the group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.

Wells Fargo Bank N.A. seeks a Senior Risk Analytics Consultant in Charlotte, NC.

Job Role and Responsibility: Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., is hiring a Senior Risk Analytics Consultant to leverage advanced knowledge of model development and Risk reporting to provide independent oversight for risk taking activities within the Corporate Risk and Independent line of business; Establish and maintain the risk management program – providing oversight for the frontline execution of risk management responsibilities; Manage risk according to the risk management framework to ensure that all employees understand their individual accountability in managing risk; Provide process/audit support as well as framework and infrastructure computing control to the Model Operations and Controls (MOC) team; Ensure that the RMG is adhering to corporate data security polices; Support efforts related to G and O, COSO, EUCT, and Information Security compliance; Develop documentation – processing narratives and desktop procedures in order to ensure compliance within key policy and regulatory standards; Lead internal and external audits as well as regulatory engagements to ensure control over robust documentation as well as timely communication with testing teams in the credit stress testing, basel, financial planning, decision support, and allowance/CECL lines of business; Manage interactions with oversight groups to support and maintain RMG computing infrastructure; Coordinate workflow throughout the model lifecycle process – providing oversight of all RMG controls; Develop models to support Pre-Provision Net Revenue (PPNR) estimates including the creation of forecasting models which span the credit lifecycle from account origination to collections; Build models to support the Operational Risk Loss and Capital, Financial Crimes, and Fair Lending lines of business; Develop credit loss estimation models for the Current Expected Credit Loss (CECL); Estimate Risk Weighed Assets (RWA) in compliance with Basel regulations as well as estimate economically sensitive credit loss estimation in compliance with Dodd Frank and the Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR); Enhance, execute, and document model implementation and execution control processes; and Collect evidence of process controls and interact directly with stakeholders. Telecommuting is permitted up to 2 days a week. Position must appear in person to the location listed as the work address.

Required Qualifications: Master’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field. Position requires 2 years of experience in the job offered or risk reporting and financial forecasting experience.

Specific skills required:

Position requires the following:

Two (2) years of experience with UNIX, SAS, and Python coding skills

Experience with financial forecasting including knowledge and loss modeling and related mathematical theory and concepts

Knowledge of the banking and finance industry including risk report, analytics, and controls

Experience with risk management concepts, audit, and controls

Understanding of key regulatory compliance risk components, including experience driving consistency and quality across all aspects for a risk function, including a solid understanding of process controls

Knowledge of modeling concepts, model implementation and production, and model governance

Experience with Hadoop

Experience with Shared Risk Platform (SHRP) reporting and issue management
