As part of SDI’s Strategy Rotational Program (SRP), you will complete multiple rotations on our business line strategy teams and/or the enterprise corporate strategy team.
Strategy teams work across the company’s lines of business and enterprise functions to set a strategic direction and set of prioritized initiatives to deliver an integrated regional bank at scale to the individuals, small and medium sized companies, large companies, and institutions we serve. As a Strategy Associate, you will support defining and supporting the execution of Wells Fargo’s top strategic priorities.
In this role you will:
Assist in the identification, evaluation and recommendation of strategic business options for lines of business.
Review basic business, competitor, operational and/or technical information that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives.
Identify, gather, and analyze appropriate data to inform strategic insights for lines of businesses.
Exercise independent judgment to guide low-to-medium risk tasks and deliverables.
Develop presentations and other documents to support strategic recommendations for low complexity initiatives and exercise independent judgment while developing expertise. Excellent written and verbal communications are critical to ensure success.
Participate in internal strategic planning activities using knowledge and expertise.
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers and interact with internal clients.
Build expertise and gain a working knowledge of Wells Fargo and the financial services industry.
Prioritize work, attention to detail, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
Ideal candidate for this role must have the following:
Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability
Attention to detail and ability to navigate ambiguity
Strategic, “outside the box” thinking and the ability and interest to quickly and effectively ramp up on unfamiliar topics.
Proactive, intellectually curious and interested in financial services, strategy and fintech
Strong analytical skills
Energetic self-starter who proactively takes initiative, remains curious and has a genuine interest in learning and growth
6+ months of Strategy & Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Bachelor’s degree candidate with an expected graduation between December 2023 – June 2024
BA/BS degree candidate with major concentration in one of the following fields: Business, Economics, Finance or other related major.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint presentation skills
Program duration: 24-months, starting on July 2024

Charlotte, NC – Pay Range: $75,000 Annually
