In this role, you will:

  • Participate in formal practicum program and workshops for low complexity initiatives within the Wells Fargo Advisors Practicum Program

  • Review various assignments to become familiar with policies and procedures for which answers can be quickly obtained, related to low-to-medium risk tasks and deliverable

  • Receive direction from a manager and exercise independent judgment while developing understanding of compliance and risk management requirements for the supported area

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check. Internal transfers are subject to comply with 17 CRF 240.17f-2 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and FINRA Bylaws, Article III, Section 3, which states that Associated Persons should not be subject to statutory disqualification. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and are required to report certain incidents.

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ months of work experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • Junior or Senior year of college

  • Minimum GPA of 2.8

  • Currently pursuing a BS/BA degree

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to work a minimum of 15 hours/week for 16 weeks

As a Practicum Participant you will be a part of a formal practicum program. The practicum includes performing various assignments aligned with a specific department. You will become familiar with the financial services industry, learn to navigate within a large organizational structure, sharpen your communication skills in a professional environment and gain basic work experience. Work assignments are augmented by classroom training, self-study assignments, workshops, networking and/or other events. You will also have an opportunity to present to Senior Leaders.
