About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Execution Consultant to work in the HR Discovery team within Human Resources Product and Transformation. The HR Discovery team is responsible for research and analysis of new, unplanned initiatives. We focus on high priority work that is undefined, ambiguous, or at risk of failure.

Team Approach:

The Discovery team will define the approach for solution delivery using a standardized framework, data driven decisions, and when applicable, test and learn experiments. Credibility is established though the standardized framework to include definition of the problem and scope, analysis of the impacts/risks, recommendation for structure and timeline/sequencing, confirmation of the primary product/process/project team, secured capacity in the roadmap, and articulation of the value driven by the solution.


In this role, you will:

  • Apply analytical, critical thinking, and creative design skills to research and analyze business problems of high complexity.
  • Define complex problem statements into executable increments that meet key objectives.
  • Assist in planning work and ensure connectivity between plans and work-stream objectives.
  • Select and complete deliverables, such as plans, research summaries, analyses, and design proposals.
  • Employ a customer-centric approach in problem definition and approach.
  • Create Minimum Viable Products (MVPs), accept feedback, and iterate to drive and articulate value.
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders, partners, and SMEs across the business to ensure the approach will deliver the prioritized business outcomes.
  • Demonstrate agile mindsets, behaviors, and ways of working, including peer up-skilling, feedback, and continuous team improvement.


Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of human resources (HR) experience.
  • Experience in human-centered design/design thinking and/or service design.
  • Experience consulting and being a change agent within all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience working on agile teams a plus.
  • Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand environment while balancing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships.
  • Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to create executive level presentation materials a plus.

Job Expectations:

Ability to travel up 5% of the time
